Our first new page of the year is dedicated to Brian Needhams'        1/16 th scale model build of the "Freight Train". We're sure many modelers have built models of the "Train", Brian took a different approach and is building  the "Train" when, for a short time in it's career, it was black and Chrysler Hemi powered. Updates will be posted here as we get them.
Brian began with the frame from Revells Wynn's Winder. The seat area was redone to duplicate the "Trains" frame. A pair of 392's are now being cast along with the proper front wheels. Body panells will have to be handmade to be authenic. The quick change   rear end is from a Revell funny car model. More photos and updates coming soon.
Update  8-16-04 ( In Brians own words )

Dennis,
Sorry it took so long ------ Work has been incredible and was really behind after vacation -- I
am just getting back into it. The three pics are resin cast 392's made by Mark Johnson. I want
to make sure he get's a good plug since he did a wonderfull job. Looks like you could put them
together and fire ' em up !! I will be starting the front end ( Custom built from brass tube ) this
week. Body tin will follow ( Aluminum sheet ) after I mock it up with the engine. Rear slicks will
have to be made from scratch to get the correct width ------ Front tires are from a 1/16 scale
motorcycle kit to match the Triumph rims that were used on the real car. Pics as the process's
develope. Again sorry for the delay !
